Program Evaluation Review Technique (PERT) can be defined as the project management tool that has been used to manage, including schedule, organize and coordinate tasks of a project. The U.S. Navy has developed this tool in 1950 to enhance the performance of their Polaris Submarine Missile Project (Rouse, 2007). During the Polaris project, the Special Project Office (SPO) has developed PERT as a common integrated tool for the project and has been used to logically connect the different nodes of the project.
